Mumbai, Jul 17 (PTI) A human leg was found entangled under a coach of the 11058 Amritsar-CSMT Express at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on Friday, officials said.
The leg, severed below the knee, was found during an undergear examination of coach M2 after the train arrived at the terminal in south Mumbai.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) team reached the spot and the leg was sent to St George’s Government Hospital for further examination.
It is suspected that a person was run over by the train, leading to the severing of the leg, officials said, adding that further probe was on. PTI ZA KRK
