Fatehgarh Sahib, Jul 28 (PTI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) on Tuesday released its first list of 20 candidates for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections.

The names were approved during a meeting of the party’s Parliamentary Board.

Parliamentary Board Secretary Gurjant Singh Kattu said the party has fielded its working president, Iman Singh Mann, from the Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Assembly constituency.

Other candidates include Mahinderpal Singh (Patiala Rural), Kuldeep Singh Bhagowal (Rupnagar), Kushalpal Singh Mann (Kharar), Gurnam Singh Singriwal (Garhshankar), Gurnaib Singh Rampura (Sangrur), Baldev Singh Gagra (Nihal Singh Wala), Harjinder Singh Jakhu (Bhadaur) and Parminder Singh Balianwali (Maur), among others.

Kattu said the party would soon announce its next list of candidates for the remaining Assembly constituencies.
