Maharajganj (UP), Sep 14 (PTI) Two men were killed when an unidentified vehicle allegedly rammed into their motorcycle here, police said on Monday.
The accident took place around 10.30 pm on Sunday near an HDFC Bank branch in Semra Chandrouli village.
The deceased were identified as Suraj (22) and Nitish (19), both residents of Pipardeuua village.
The two were travelling from Partawal towards Maharajganj when the unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle and fled the spot, police said.
A Dial-112 team reached the spot and rushed the injured youths to the Community Health Centre in Partawal, where doctors declared them dead.
Chowki in-charge Alok Rai said efforts were on to identify and trace the vehicle. Police were questioning local residents and collecting information to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.PTI COR KIS DV DV
