Jaipur, Jul 28 (PTI) Rajasthan Education and Panchayati Raj Minister Madan Dilawar has directed officials to remove encroachments from pasture land and reconstitute pasture development committees, according to an official statement.
The directions were issued during a departmental review meeting held here on Tuesday, where progress on budget announcements for 2024-25, 2025-26 and 2026-27, the Svamitva scheme, and the distribution of residential leases to denotified, nomadic and semi-nomadic communities was reviewed.
“All pending budget announcements must be implemented in a time-bound manner with regular monitoring to ensure early disposal of pending cases,” Dilawar said, adding that each announcement reflects a commitment to the public.
Expressing concern over increasing encroachments on pasture land, he said such land is a valuable public asset and its protection must be ensured at all levels.
“Immediate action should be taken against 200 identified major encroachers in the state, including lodging FIRs wherever required,” the minister said.
He noted that illegal possession of pasture land was reported from several places and warned that depletion of such land would adversely affect grazing arrangements for cattle.
Dilawar also reviewed the Junior Clerk Recruitment-2013 case, directing that services of ineligible candidates in five districts, where investigations have been completed, be terminated. He further instructed that remaining cases be referred to the Special Operations Group (SOG) for further probe.
Emphasising grassroots governance, the minister said gram panchayats should be strengthened to become more capable, transparent and accountable, and asked officials to take effective steps to reinforce good governance at the panchayat level. PTI AG SHS SHS
