Shimla, Sep 14 (PTI) Police busted a rave party in Upper Dharamkot, Himachal Pradesh, recovered some drugs and booked two people for organising the event at a hostel, officials said.
Police said 15 persons were medically examined to establish the activities at the party. The action came following a tip-off received from a “reliable source”, they said.
Kangra Police conducted a raid at EDM Hostel, Upper Dharamkot and found 0.95g of ‘chitta’, 3.7g opium, 1.33g of charas and 1.54g of ganja flowers, police said on Monday.
According to preliminary investigation, the hostel was allegedly hosting rave parties on September 13-14 within its premises.
The rave parties were being promoted and advertised through social media platforms and closed online groups, they said.
Aamir Khan (35), from Shahjahanabad, Madhya Pradesh, presently residing at Vishram Guest House/EDM Hotel in Hayani village, Upper Dharamkot and Radhesh Ranjan Pajoria (37), a native of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, presently the leaseholder of EDM Hostel, have been booked in the case.
“A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, has been registered against the accused and relevant screenshots and other digital evidence have been collected. Further verification and examination of the digital evidence is in progress,” an official said. PTI COR SKY SKY
