Rajasthan CM, BJP state chief lead service activities, lighting of lamps to wish PM Modi on birthday

Jaipur, Sep 17 (PTI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and state BJP president Madan Rathore on Thursday led a series of programmes in the state to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday, including service activities and the lighting of lamps to wish him a long and healthy life.

Sharma greeted Modi on his birthday and said the prime minister’s life had been dedicated to public and national service.

He said Modi’s leadership had strengthened India’s journey towards self-reliance, good governance and the goal of a developed nation.

The chief minister said Rajasthan was also benefiting from the Centre’s support and cited the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, Yamuna water agreement, Rajasthan Refinery and Jaipur Metro Phase-2 among major projects and initiatives.

Sharma also highlighted the state government’s recruitment initiatives, saying 1.90 lakh appointments had been made in the past two-and-a-half years and recruitment for another 1.20 lakh posts was underway. He said a recruitment calendar for 1.25 lakh posts had been issued for 2026.

As part of the ‘Viksit Bharat Jan Seva Abhiyan’, Sharma interacted with youngsters on the youth budget at the chief minister’s residence and urged them to draw inspiration from Modi’s “nation first” approach and contribute towards the goal of a developed India.

Rathore launched BJP’s ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ by lighting an ‘Aashirwad ka Diya’ at the party’s state headquarters here.

He said BJP workers and people were marking Modi’s birthday through service activities, including blood donation camps, fruit distribution and assistance to the needy.

Rathore said carrying out service activities with the spirit of ‘Seva Hi Sangathan’ was part of the BJP’s work culture.

BJP leaders and workers also lit lamps at several prominent places in Jaipur, including Albert Hall, Amar Jawan Jyoti and Statue Circle in the evening.

Senior BJP leader Rajendra Rathore, Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa, MP Manju Sharma, MLA Gopal Sharma and other party functionaries participated in the programmes, according to the party. PTI SDA KSS KSS
