Rain continues to lash parts of Rajasthan

Jaipur, Sep 7 (PTI) Heavy rainfall continued in Rajasthan in several districts, with rain accompanied with thunderstorms recorded at most places in eastern Rajasthan and some places in western Rajasthan.

In eastern Rajasthan, heavy rain occurred in Ajmer, Dausa, Jaipur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli, Nagaur and Pratapgarh, in the 24 hours till 8.30 am on Saturday.

During this time, heavy rainfall was also witnessed at Rajsamand and Banswara of southern Rajasthan. The highest rainfall was in logged in Loharia of Banswara at 169 mm, followed by 142 mm rainfall in Ramgarhpachwara and 117 mm in Baswa of Dausa district, 140 mm in Devgarh of Rajsamand, 130 mm in Pushkar of Ajmer.

Rainfall ranging from 63 mm to 98 mm occurred at many places in Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur and Tonk districts.

Rain activities are likely to continue in some parts of Kota, Ajmer, Jaipur division on September 8-9 and heavy rain is expected at some places. PTI SDA OZ OZ
