Medininagar (Jharkhand), Jun 20 (PTI) The Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR) initiative titled “Hunar Se Rozgar: Empowering Women and Tribal Youth through Sustainable Employment-Oriented Skill Development” was honoured with the SKOCH Final Award in Delhi on Saturday, an official said.

Deputy Director (North) Palamu Tiger Reserve (PTR) Prajesh Kant Jena, who was present at the award ceremony in Delhi, told PTI that the initiative is playing a significant role in connecting tribal youth and women to employment and self-employment opportunities by providing them with skill training.

He claimed that various innovative and public-welfare projects from across the country were recognised at the programme.

“Under the Hunar Se Rozgar programme, employment-oriented skill training is provided to youth and women from tribal and forest-dependent communities. Through this initiative, hundreds of young people have been trained and linked to employment, resulting in reduced migration and the creation of new livelihood opportunities,” said Jena. PTI ANB RG
