New Delhi, Apr 24 (PTI) President of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Annalena Baerbock, is scheduled to visit India on April 28, during which she will discuss key multilateral issues of mutual interest with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, the MEA announced on Friday.
As part of her programme, she will also pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
Baerbock will also have an interactive session with representatives from the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) on governance and regulation of artificial intelligence, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said.
The former German foreign minister was elected the president of the General Assembly’s 80th session in June last year.
Soon after her election to the post, the UN said in a statement that she assumes the role at a challenging time, with ongoing conflicts, faltering development goals, mounting financial pressures and upcoming selection of the next secretary-general. PTI KND KND SKY SKY
