Gurugram, Sep 22 (PTI) Police in Gurugram demolished an illegal structure belonging to gangster Kaushal Chaudhary on Tuesday, officials said.
They said a house was illegally constructed on a plot of approximately 150 square yards in Naharpur Rupa village and was being used to collect rent, and facilitate and expand activities linked to organized crime.
More than six dozen cases, including under the Arms Act, are registered against the gangster.
Police said the property was demolished with the assistance of heavy machinery and the land was restored to its original condition.
They said the action was taken after an investigation revealed that the gangster had allegedly constructed the house illegally and was using it to collect rent, and for criminal activities.
“The action was carried out by the Crime Branch Manesar, in coordination with the departments concerned. Under strict police supervision, all illegal structures were removed, and the land was completely cleared. Such intelligence-based stringent operations will continue with greater intensity in the future, with the objective of making Gurugram safer and free from crime”, said a Gurugram police spokesperson.
