Jammu, Sep 14 (PTI) Police on Monday attached immovable property belonging to a suspected terror handler in Rajouri district as part of the ongoing crackdown against terrorism and its support networks in Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

The action on Nazarat Hussain, a resident of Niali Thanamandi, was carried out after a case was registered under Sections 3/4 of the EIMCO Act at Thanamandi Police Station, they said.

The cost of attached land is approximate value of Rs 45 lakh, officials said.

During the proceedings, boards were prominently installed on the land in the presence of concerned authorities and police personnel, marking the property as attached under law, they said.

The action reflects the commitment of Rajouri police to dismantle the support structure of terrorism and take strict legal action against individuals involved in anti-national activities, officials said. PTI AB AB SKY SKY

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
