Etah (UP), Jan 12 (PTI) Carcasses of over a dozen cattle were found in a field on Wednesday in a village in Pilua area here, police said.

Locals in Navi Nagar village informed the police when they saw the remains of the cattle, following which senior officers rushed to the spot and got them buried using earth digging machines.

Pramod Kumar, a local villager, claimed cow and ‘govansh’ (cattle) were killed on Tuesday night.

Additional SP Dhananjay Khushwah said an FIR has been lodged against unidentified persons for cowslaughter.
