Bengaluru, Aug 5 (PTI) More than 1.11 crore voters in Karnataka have been marked under the Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate/Already Enrolled and Others category during the SIR-2026 roll revision, with over 50 lakh of them from the four Bengaluru zones.
The Election Commission said these electors have not been excluded from the rolls and remain subject to verification.
Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukkumar said the state had completed 100 per cent distribution of Enumeration Forms, while digitisation had reached 79.93 per cent as of 2 pm on Wednesday, with only 22,977 forms pending.
“As of June 16, 2026, there are 5,54,32,314 electors in the Electoral Roll. Enumeration Forms have been printed and delivered to the BLOs,” he said in a press release.
According to the release, 4.43 crore Enumeration Forms have been digitised, while all 5.54 crore forms, including those related to electors listed under the ASDDO category, have been processed.
A total of 1.11 crore electors, accounting for 20.03 per cent of the electorate, have been classified as ASDDO, leaving only 22,977 forms, or 0.04 per cent, pending digitisation.
The category includes 66,64,943 permanently shifted electors, 16,30,012 absent or untraceable electors, 16,30,872 deceased electors, 6,89,904 electors already enrolled elsewhere and 4,88,974 cases listed under other reasons.
The release clarified that electors listed under the ASDDO category have not been removed from the electoral rolls.
It said ASDDO lists have been shared with recognised political parties and are available with Booth Level Officers for verification.
Electors who have been wrongly classified as ASDDO can have their Enumeration Forms restored through the BLO or the Electoral Registration Officer until August 8.
District-wise data showed Bengaluru accounting for the highest number of electors listed under the ASDDO category.
Bengaluru Urban had 18,13,010 such electors (45.09 per cent), BBMP South 11,07,678 (51.65 per cent), BBMP North 11,07,027 (47.46 per cent) and BBMP Central 9,15,035 (48.42 per cent).
Other districts with high ASDDO numbers included Mysuru (5,72,509), Kalaburagi (5,35,403), Belagavi (5,07,983), Raichur (3,21,107), Vijayapura (3,01,264) and Dharwad (2,81,242).
The CEO said Udupi recorded the highest Enumeration Form digitisation rate at 93.95 per cent, followed by Haveri (91.38 per cent), Uttara Kannada (91.27 per cent) and Dakshina Kannada (91.16 per cent). BBMP South recorded the lowest digitisation rate at 48.35 per cent, followed by BBMP Central (51.58 per cent), BBMP North (52.54 per cent) and Bengaluru Urban (54.91 per cent).
For Bengaluru and the Greater Bengaluru Area, the CEO said 10 lakh Form-6 applications had been printed and supplied to Electoral Registration Officers to facilitate the enrolment of eligible citizens who would attain 18 years of age on or before October 1, 2026.
The release added that between June 16 and August 4, election authorities received 12,20,312 applications, comprising 3,72,201 Form-6 applications, 3,207 Form-6A applications, 30,952 Form-7 applications and 8,13,952 Form-8 applications. PTI GMS SSK
