New Delhi, Apr 24 (PTI) The process for regularisation of properties in 1,521 unauthorised colonies in the city through filing of applications on the SWAGAM portal of the MCD kicked off on Friday, officials said.

Property owners in the identified unauthorised colonies can directly apply for regularisation of their property using the link mcdonline.nic.in/swagam.

A physical help desk has been set up in each of the 12 zonal offices of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to help the people, they said.

The MCD has empanelled more than 700 professionals who may be consulted by applicants for filing applications.

Property owners, after successfully filing applications, will be issued online regularisation certificate under the PM Uday Scheme, they said.

SMS alert services and online track of applications will also be made available to applicants.

Officials said the applicants will receive documents of regularisation within 45 days.

No physical verification will be done by the MCD and applicant’s data available at PM UDAY portal will be auto fetched on the SWAGAM portal.

The officers of zonal building departments will deal with the applications on Swagam portal.

After the applicants are issued regularisation certificates, they can get their properties registered through the National Generic Document Registration System (NGDRS) involving the revenue department, the officials. PTI VIT VBH DV DV
