Dimapur (Nagaland), May 15 (PTI) A no-confidence motion has been moved against Dimapur Municipal Council chairperson Hukheto Yepthomi.
The motion, endorsed by 12 members, including the deputy chairperson, of the 23 elected members of the civic body was jointly moved by two DMC members.
Dimapur Deputy Commissioner Tinojongshi Chang, in an official notification issued on Thursday, said that a written notice expressing the intention to move the motion was received on May 11 in line with Section 15 of the Nagaland Municipal Act, 2023.
In this, the deputy commissioner has convened a special meeting of the elected members of the Dimapur Municipal Council, excluding the ex officio members and the nominated members, on May 22 at the DMC office to deliberate and decide on the motion of no confidence. PTI CORR NBS NBS ACD
