Hisar (Haryana), Sep 7 (PTI) A new unit of Haryana’s State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) was inaugurated in Hansi, on Monday, officials said.
SV&ACB chief Arshinder Singh Chawla inaugurated the unit and unveiled the foundation plaque.
The new unit will help expedite the monitoring of corruption-related complaints, ensure prompt action and facilitate impartial and thorough investigations in the Hansi region, officials said.
It will also provide the public with an improved mechanism for lodging corruption-related complaints and ensuring their speedy resolution.
Speaking at a press conference on the occasion, Chawla said that in line with the state government’s zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, the SV&ACB would take action in accordance with law against officials and employees involved in corrupt practices.
He said the new unit would ensure immediate cognizance of corruption-related complaints in Hansi district and necessary action thereafter.
Earlier, Chawla was accorded a Guard of Honour by the Hansi police on his arrival in the city.
