New Delhi: Four elderly men and a woman in a Nalanda village have been arrested for killing a 75-year-old man, who, according to reports, made the “mistake” of proposing to the woman.

The deceased, 75-year-old Tripit Sharma, was pushed into the water tank of a newly-constructed house in village Balwapur on the intervening night of 18-19 October.
Sharma’s body was recovered two days later, following which his son Mithu Kumar registered an FIR.
The woman Pino Devi had relations with all of them, but didn’t like it when Sharma proposed, the police said.
She hatched a plan with the others to finish him off.
