Patna, Jun 25 (PTI) Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda on Thursday held a meeting with newly appointed Bihar BJP office-bearers at the party’s state headquarters here and called for strengthening the organisation down to the booth level.

The meeting was also attended by Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, Union Minister Giriraj Singh, BJP Bihar general secretary Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya and others.

According to a statement issued by the BJP, Nadda urged party workers to work towards making the party organisation stronger, more active and effective.

“BJP is not merely a political party but a strong organisation committed to nation-building. The real strength of the organisation lies in its dedicated workers and its active structure at the booth level,” Nadda, a former BJP president, said.

He said that each office-bearer had a responsibility to strengthen the organisation in their respective areas and play an active role in taking the party’s ideology, policies and programmes to the masses.

Nadda also emphasised the need to ensure that the welfare and development schemes of the Union government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bihar government reach every household.

According to the statement, the meeting also discussed the implementation of upcoming party programmes, increasing organisational activity, strengthening coordination among workers and accelerating the BJP’s expansion campaign.

Earlier in the day, Nadda attended a programme marking ‘Samvidhan Hatya Diwas’ at Gyan Bhawan in Patna.

The Union minister also paid floral tributes to the memorial of Jayaprakash Narayan at the Mahila Charkha Samiti, a women’s welfare organisation set up by the legendary socialist leader and his wife, Prabhavati. PTI SUK RG
