Ashoknagar (Madhya Pradesh), Sep 14 (PTI) Four minor brothers drowned in a well in an agricultural field in Ashoknagar district on Monday, police said.

The incident occurred in Vikrampur village under the Chanderi police station area in the afternoon, when four sons of Banveer Kushwaha of Vikrampur village went to bathe in the well in their agricultural field, said Chanderi tehsildar Dilip Daroga.

According to the police, the eldest of the four brothers aged nine.

Police said Kushwaha works as a labourer, while his wife had gone to her parental home a few days ago. Neither of parents was at home when the incident occurred.

Police said a villager passing near the field spotted the children and subsequently informed the family. PTI COR LAL NSK
