Shivpuri, Oct 25 (PTI) A fire broke out on Sunday at a ‘pandal’ erected for a ‘Ram Katha’ by Bageshwar Dham head priest Dhirendra Krishna Shastri in Karera town of Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district, though no one was injured in the incident, a police official said.
The blaze took place before Shastri reached the venue, he added.
“The blaze started around 3pm in the upper portion of the dome-shaped pandal. Police and security personnel used fire extinguishers to douse the flames and prevent it from spreading,” Karera police station house officer Vinod Chhawai said.
No one was injured in the fire, which is suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit, he added. PTI COR LAL BNM
