Barwani, Aug 14 (PTI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Friday ordered the suspension of seven government officials, including a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a Janpad Panchayat, for alleged negligence in public welfare works in Barwani district.
Yadav interacted with the public at a district-level resolution program under the Mukhyamantri Jan-Vishwas Abhiyan in Barwani and passed orders.
All eligible beneficiaries should receive the benefits of government schemes within the stipulated timeframe and unnecessary delays in resolving public complaints are unacceptable, he said.
He ordered the suspension of seven officials for alleged negligence in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), Sambal Yojana, and other government programmes.
Those suspended were Tehsildar Asha Parmar, Patwaris Mangilal Nargaonve and Lalit Borse, Chief Municipal Officers Mayaram Solanki and Jagdish Dhangar, Assistant Engineer Raju Dawar, and District Panchayat CEO Saurabh Singh Rathore.
A show-cause notice was also issued to S K Sinha, Joint Director of the Urban Administration Department, on the chief minister’s order.
Yadav also made several announcements for the development of Barwani district.
As the old ghats (riverside steps) on the Narmada River were submerged under the backwaters of the Sardar Sarovar Dam, Rs 25 crore will be provided for the construction of new ghats, he said.
Historical sites including the fort in Sendhwa town will be preserved through the Archaeological Department.
Yadav also announced Rs 10 crore for the construction of an Adarsh Krishi Upaj Mandi in the district. Playgrounds in the district will be developed into state-of-the-art sports complexes, he said. PTI COR HWP MAS KRK
