New Delhi: You think Psy dancing Gangnam style is the only way to get South Koreans to shake a leg? Think again!
The iconic song’s got some serious competition and it’s India’s Oscar-nominated song Naatu Naatu from the movie RRR.
The Korean embassy in India has released a video of Korean ambassador Chang Jae-bok and embassy staff grooving to the hit track, which has over 1.9 million views on Twitter.

The 53-second clip shows several staff coordinating and matching each step — beat by beat.
The video even caught Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attention.

‘A cool performance’
The tweet has received a flood of comments with several users calling it “cool” and thanking the Korean embassy for the performance.
Ramsurat Rai, former Bihar land and revenue reform minister and BJP MLA from Aurai said, “Jai ho” in the comments.
Another user said, “Superb, South Korea”, while others praised the performing team’s talent.
“One song building a chain of relationships across the world! Power of Music!! Great going Team Korea,” tweeted a user.
“This has become the new Gangnam style…open naatu style,” another Twitter user wrote.
“Gangnam Style” — sung by South Korean rapper Psy, released on 15 July 2012, is a K-pop song, which garnered massive success, including in India, with many videos of people, both young and old, at parties and at home, performing on it.
RRR, an Indian Telugu epic-action-drama film was released in 2022. The film directed by SS Rajamouli stars N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris. Naatu Naatu has been composed by veteran music director M.M. Keeravaani and sung by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj.
