New Delhi, Aug 25 (PTI) Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday launched the Mission Samriddh Gaon scheme aimed at developing poverty-free, employment-rich villages equipped with assured basic amenities.

Launching the scheme at Krishi Bhawan here, Chouhan said the mission seeks to create a comprehensive and integrated model for rural development.

“Prosperous villages, strong foundation of a developed India,” the Office of Shivraj said in a post on X.

“Through Mission Samriddh Gaon, the government plans to develop a comprehensive and integrated model for building poverty-free, employment-rich villages equipped with basic amenities,” the post said.

It said the mission, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will lay a strong foundation for the resolve of building a developed India through prosperous, self-reliant and poverty-free villages. PTI ADI KSS KSS
