Medininagar (Jharkhand), Aug 10 (PTI) Two minor brothers have drowned in a pond in Jharkhand’s Palamu district, a police officer said.

Bodies of the two victims, aged around 14 and 12 years, were found floating in the pond in Choudad village on Sunday.

Police rushed to the spot immediately after getting the information and retrieved the bodies with the help of locals.

It was yet to be ascertained how the two boys reached near the pond and the circumstances leading to the incident, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (Chatarpur) Prashant Kumar said.

The exact cause of the deaths would be known only after receiving the post-mortem report, the officer added. PTI COR BS NSD
