Jaipur, Jun 3 (PTI) Several places in Rajasthan saw temperatures crossing the 40 degrees Celsius mark on Wednesday, even as the meteorological department forecast thunderstorms and rain in parts of the state in the next few days.
Jaisalmer was the hottest place, recording a maximum temperature of 43.7 degrees Celsius.
Bikaner recorded a maximum temperature of 43.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Sri Ganganagar at 43.3 degrees Celsius, Phalodi 42.8 degrees Celsius, and Barmer and Jodhpur city 42 degrees Celsius each.
Among other places, Churu recorded 41.7 degrees Celsius, Pilani 41.2 degrees Celsius, Kota 40.6 degrees Celsius, Chittorgarh 40.2 degrees Celsius and Sikar 40 degrees Celsius.
In Jaipur, the maximum temperature settled at 39.5 degrees Celsius.
Ajmer and Jawai Dam recorded 39 degrees Celsius each, while Bhilwara and Alwar registered 38.4 degrees Celsius and 38.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
