Ahmedabad, Aug 16 (PTI) The Ahmedabad crime branch has arrested two individuals for possessing MD drugs with an estimated value of around Rs 8 lakh in illicit markets from the Danilimda area on Sunday, police said.
Another individual is on the run, according to the police.
“The accused, identified as Mustaq Saiyed and Yasin Ansari, both residents of Danilimda area, were apprehended with an illegal quantity of MD drug weighing 76.030 grams worth Rs 2,28,090 (with an estimated illegal sale value of around Rs 8 lakh),” according to an official release.
Police seized two mobile phones, a two-wheeler, Rs 3,000 in cash, and 32 pouches, it said, adding that a case was registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and legal proceedings were initiated. PTI KVM NSK
