MCD revises health trade licence rates: Official

New Delhi, Jul 12 (PTI) Municipal Corporation of Delhi has revised the rates for getting health trade licence for running various establishments, such as banquet halls and eating houses, officials said on Tuesday.

This has been done for the purpose of rationalising health trade fee, they said.

The public health department of the MCD has revised the rates of “one-time registration fee and annual license fee for 94 categories of health trades,” the MCD said in a statement.

“Under the new policy, one-time registration fee for health trade license for banquet halls with a capacity of up to 250 seats has been fixed at Rs 10,000 and annual license fee of Rs 15,000. The registration fee and license fee for health trade of banquet halls with capacity more than 250 seats have been fixed at Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, respectively,” it said.

“For an eating house with a capacity of up to 20 seats, owners will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 10,000 and an annual license fee of Rs 10,000. For an eating house with a capacity of 20-50 seats they will have to a pay registration fee of Rs 15,000 and annual license fee of Rs 20,000, for an eating house with more than 50 seats, registration fee will be Rs 20,000 and annual fee Rs 25,000,” it added.

As per the revised health trade fee rates, the processing fee of Rs 1,000 will be charged per application. At the same time, the de-sealing charge has been fixed at three times the annual license fee, civic authorities said.

“In view of the interest of citizens, no late fee will be charged in cases of renewal till one month from date of expiry of license validity. Thereafter, a penalty equivalent to 10 per cent of the annual fee will be charged per month. Continuous efforts are being made by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi for better regulation of public health related trade and establishments so that quality service is available to the public at large and no frivolous entity is in work in this field,” it added.
