New Delhi, Aug 11 (PTI) A Delhi based builder was injured after a bullet was allegedly fired from a licensed pistol in a car in southwest Delhi’s Kishangarh on Tuesday, police sources said.

The incident allegedly occurred when the man was sitting in the front seat of the car, which had reached a car market for repairs.

A police security officer, who was travelling with him, picked up a pistol kept behind the seat while getting out of the vehicle, following which it accidentally went off, the sources said.

The injured man was rushed to a hospital for treatment. Police have seized the weapon and are questioning the security officer.

They are probing whether the firing was accidental or part of a conspiracy, a police source said. PTI BM MDO MDO
