Gurugram, Jul 14 (PTI) Panic gripped the area near Golf Course Road on Tuesday morning after the blood-stained body of a man was found in the bushes, police said.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the man was murdered by being struck on the head with a stone. An FIR was registered and police kept the body in mortuary for a post-mortem, they added.
According to the police, a passerby spotted a body lying in the bushes around 6 am on Tuesday and alerted the authorities. Police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation. Based on documents found in his pocket, the deceased was identified as Bandi Oraon, a native of Asni Mugla in Jharkhand.
A senior police officer said that they have informed the deceased’s family about the incident. A post-mortem will be conducted after his brother Mahavir arrives in Gurugram.
“Evidence has been collected from the crime scene and footage from nearby CCTV cameras is being examined. All aspects are being investigated to determine the motive behind the murder and to identify the accused”, he added. PTI COR SHS
