Palghar, Jul 2 (PTI) A man was electrocuted at a textile manufacturing unit in Boisar industrial estate of Palghar district, an official said on Thursday.
The incident took place at around 10:30 am on Wednesday when Tushar Karne was attempting to open the compressor machine, the official said.
“He came into contact with a live wire and suffered severe electric shock. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by his co-workers, where doctors declared him dead on arrival,” he said.
Vivekanand Kadam, chief of Palghar District Disaster Management Cell, confirmed the details of the incident to PTI.
A Boisar police station official said a case of accidental death has been registered. Police is checking for any potential safety lapses at the industrial unit, he added. PTI COR BNM
