New Delhi, May 15 (PTI) A man died after allegedly falling into an open drain in Delhi’s Vijay Vihar, police said on Friday.
According to police, a PCR call was received on Friday morning regarding a body lying in an open drain near the ration card office in Budh Vihar Phase-1 area.
A police team rushed to the spot and recovered the body, a police officer said.
The deceased, believed to be around 30 years old, has yet to be identified. The body has been preserved at a mortuary for post-mortem examination, police said.
Preliminary inquiry suggested that the man may have fallen into the drain during the night and drowned. Police suspect he could not notice the open drain due to the darkness.
