Bijnor (UP), Jul 14 (PTI) A man has been booked for allegedly raping his 16-year-old daughter and impregnating her in a village under the Mandavali police station area here, officials said on Tuesday.
The matter came to light after the family members noticed changes in girl’s body. It was later revealed that she was six months pregnant, Mandavali police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar said.
According to police, the accused had allegedly raped his daughter few months ago while she was sleeping at their house, and threatened her not to reveal the matter.
Following a complaint by the family, the teenager was brought to a One Stop Centre for counseling and support, police said.
Circle Officer (CO) Akanksha Gautam said a case has been registered against the accused father under relevant sections. “The girl has been sent for a medical examination. Teams have been formed, and the accused father will be arrested soon.” PTI COR ABN ARB ARB
