New Delhi, October 5 (PTI) The Delhi Police has arrested a person for allegedly creating and circulating a fake poster showing a police officer sexually assaulting a woman, officials said on Monday.
The poster was allegedly created using artificial intelligence and circulated across social media platforms, they said.
The accused was produced before a court and police custody was obtained, a senior officer said, adding that further investigation is underway.
Investigators have also found that there could be other persons involved in the alleged conspiracy and efforts are being made to identify them, police said.
On the other hand, a Delhi Police assistant commissioner accused of sexually harassing a woman journalist during a protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar here, was promoted to the rank of additional deputy commissioner on Monday, along with three other officers from his batch, officials said.
