Mumbai, Oct 26 (PTI) The Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee will hold divisional meetings of newly appointed Lok Sabha, assembly, and district in-charges, along with district presidents, on November 4 and 5 as it aims to strengthen the organisation.

The Konkan division meeting will be held at Tilak Bhavan in Dadar, Mumbai, on November 4, while the North Maharashtra meeting will take place in Nashik on November 5, the state Congress said in a statement on Monday.

Dates for meetings of other divisions will be finalised soon, it said.

The performance of office-bearers will be reviewed every three months, following which changes may be made to the list of in-charges based on an assessment of their work.

State Congress in-charge Dr Sirivella Prasad and state unit president Harshwardhan Sapkal have drawn up a planned strategy to strengthen the party’s organisation in Maharashtra, the statement said.

The party aims to rebuild its organisational strength in the state, it added. PTI MR NSK

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
