Kolkata, Oct 10 (PTI) The 24-day passenger-centric initiative, ‘Yatri Sewa Abhiyan’, concluded at the international airport here on Saturday, with the facility’s director Vikram Singh terming the drive an operational blueprint for excellence in service at all times.

On the concluding day, frontline personnel and key airport stakeholders were felicitated for delivering exceptional public service.

“Every intervention, from augmenting terminal amenities to refining the warmth and responsiveness of our frontline teams, was guided by our commitment to keeping passengers at the heart of our operations. While the formal campaign concludes today, our mission continues,” he said.

The campaign by the Airports Authority of India on September 17 was aimed at enhancing the overall travel experience by ensuring timely assistance, proper guidance and comfortable facilities for passengers.

Throughout the 24-day drive, Kolkata Airport spearheaded targeted daily themes designed to deliver tangible improvements in passenger comfort, accessibility, operational efficiency and terminal aesthetics. PTI SUS NSD

Nine Years, Made Possible by Readers

In 2017, Shekhar Gupta started ThePrint with a simple belief: Indian readers want journalism that asks why and what next, not just what. And that enough of them would be willing to pay for good journalism.

Nine years on, that belief has held.

And, in these nine years, we’ve stayed true to our mission. We’ve been asking the follow-up questions, going beyond the headlines and explaining what’s actually happening. We’ve travelled across the country to bring you in-depth, visually-compelling stories from the ground.

It’s been nine years of readers choosing to make this possible. If you’d like to be one of them:
