Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Apr 24 (PTI) One person was seriously injured while nine others sustained minor injuries in a chain collision involving a cement tanker, a private bus, and an autorickshaw in the district on Friday, police said.
The accident occurred in Chincholi taluk.
According to police, the cement tanker, which was travelling from Tandur in Telangana towards Chincholi, allegedly attempted to avoid a collision with an autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction.
In the process, the tanker went out of control and collided head-on with a bus travelling from Chincholi to Venkatapura village, a senior police officer said.
The autorickshaw was also damaged in the impact, he added.
The injured were admitted to a hospital in Chincholi, while those with minor injuries were discharged after treatment.
A case has been registered at the Chincholi police station, and further investigation is underway, police said. PTI AMP SSK
