India’s global standing elevated under Modi govt, says BJP MLA

Latur, Jun 17 (PTI) BJP MLA Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar on Wednesday said the Narendra Modi-led central government has brought about transformative changes across economic, social, infrastructural and cultural sectors over the last 12 years, elevating India’s global standing and improving the lives of millions of people.

Addressing a press conference in Latur to mark 12 years of the Modi government, the former Maharashtra minister said India has emerged as a stronger and more influential nation on the world stage under the Prime Minister’s leadership.

“PM Modi has completed over 4,398 days in office, becoming the longest-serving elected prime minister in the country’s history, and has led India through significant progress in multiple sectors,” he said.

The Centre has undertaken several initiatives to strengthen the farming community and improve rural livelihoods, he said.

Despite concerns over a global economic slowdown, India has remained resilient and has emerged as the world’s fourth-largest economy, Nilangekar, who represents the Nilanga assembly constituency in Latur, said.

Substantial central funding has accelerated development in Maharashtra and the Marathwada region, with Latur district also receiving major infrastructure projects, The BJP leader said the country’s fourth and Maharashtra’s first railway coach manufacturing project is being established in Latur and its production is likely to commence soon.
