New Delhi: The Indian Navy is to conduct a half marathon race in New Delhi on October 6, 2024. This event will strengthen the ties between the Navy and the civil society and also highlight the Navy’s role in safeguarding the nation’s maritime security and interests, a PIB press release stated.
The aim of the half marathon is to promote good health and fitness among people from all walks of life. It will also encourage them to engage in physical activities and choose an active lifestyle as a way to improve their overall well-being. This event will also highlight the values of gender equality, women empowerment, and inclusivity.

This will underscore the Navy’s commitment to fostering a culture of inclusiveness and equal opportunity for all. It is expected that this event will strengthen the bonds among the people of the NCR and other areas.
It will also encourage young people to take up an adventurous life by joining the Indian Navy. The Indian Navy will conduct this half marathon event annually. It is one of the two events that the Navy will conduct every year in Mumbai, Vishakhapatnam, and Kochi.
