The Indian Institute of Technology & Indian School of Mines (IIT-ISM), Dhanbad will organize a one-day workshop on State Mining Index on May 8, 2024 in Delhi, a PIB press release stated.
The workshop will be part of the efforts made by the Ministry of Mines to develop the State Mining Index.
The index will not only cover non-ferrous major minerals but also minor minerals. The Ministry of Mines has entrusted IIT-ISM with the task of designing the index’s framework, collecting data, and developing it. The entire process will be carried out in a transparent and objective manner in which the feedback of the States is taken into consideration at every stage. The One-Day Workshop in Delhi is a part of this endeavor.
