Nahan (HP), Aug 19 (PTI) Bodies of all three people buried under debris of a quarry after a landslide in Bagandhar of Sirmaur district have been retrieved, officials said on Wednesday.
The three had come under rubble on Tuesday when a landslide hit the mining site near Kamrou village under the Kafota subdivision.
Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner Priyanka Verma oversaw the rescue operation carried out by the National Disaster Response Force.
Tipper driver Anil Kumar, 26, a resident of Barwas village, was the first to be recovered on Tuesday.
The other two, whose bodies were retrieved on Wednesday, were labourer Dhan Singh, a resident of Bedkot municipality of Kanchanpur, Nepal, and Gajendra Singh, also a Nepali national. Both were aged 55.
Sub-divisional magistrate Jaspal said the limestone quarry remains landslide-prone.
In the subsidence on Tuesday, two dumpers and an L&T machine were also buried. PTI COR BPL VN VN
