Jaipur, Jul 28 (PTI) Heavy rainfall is likely at several places in Rajasthan over the next two days due to a newly formed cyclonic circulation.
According to the Met department, the cyclonic circulation is currently positioned over southwest Rajasthan. Coupled with other favourable monsoon conditions, rainfall activity is expected to intensify from Tuesday in parts of the Bharatpur, Jaipur and Kota divisions of eastern Rajasthan, with heavy rain likely at isolated places.
From July 29, rainfall activity is expected to increase further in parts of the Kota, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Bikaner divisions. During this period, isolated places in southeastern and eastern Rajasthan may receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.
The department has also forecast active monsoon conditions across parts of both eastern and western Rajasthan from July 30 to August 2, with heavy to very heavy rainfall likely at isolated locations.
Meanwhile, during the 24-hour period ending Tuesday morning, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at several places across the state, while isolated heavy rainfall occurred in Chittorgarh and Sirohi districts.
The highest rainfall of 67 mm was recorded at Rashmi in Chittorgarh district and Abu Road in Sirohi district, the department said. PTI SDA RT RT
