Jaipur, May 16 (PTI) Intense heat is likely to grip most parts of Rajasthan again from Saturday, with maximum temperatures expected to touch 45 degrees Celsius in the coming days in some parts of the state, the Jaipur Meteorological Centre said.
Over the last few days, rain in Rajasthan had brought some respite from the heat.
Western Rajasthan is likely to witness renewed heatwave conditions from Saturday, it said.
In the southeastern parts of the state, maximum temperatures are expected to hover between 44 and 45 degrees Celsius over the next few days.
On Saturday and Sunday, parts of the Bikaner division, Shekhawati region, Jaipur and northern areas of the Bharatpur division may witness thunderstorms accompanied by winds with speeds reaching 40 to 50 kmph. Light rainfall or drizzle is also likely at isolated places, according to the weather office.
Weather conditions remained largely dry across Rajasthan over the last 24 hours, which ended at 8.30 am. Heatwave and warm night conditions were recorded at several locations during this period.
