Bengaluru, Jul 29 (PTI) A headless body was found on a railway track under the jurisdiction of Byappanahalli Railway Police here on Wednesday, officials said, adding that the man’s severed head was found at Varthur.
Police suspect it could be a case of suicide, as the man appears to have been run over by a train. They said the head may have been flung about a kilometre away to Kodathi.
Railway staff had alerted the Railway Police about the incident. An investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of death.
The identity of the man, who appeared to be around 25 to 30 years old, is yet to be established. PTI GMS SSK
