Hyderabad, Jul 13 (PTI) Seven persons were arrested here in two anti-drug operations after they were allegedly found in possession of about 25 liters of hash oil, a narcotic substance, worth Rs 3.12 crores, police said on Monday.

During joint operations by police teams, two accused were apprehended, and 23.7 litres of hash oil was seized in one case and 1.25 liters was seized in another and three peddlers besides two consumers were apprehended, Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar told reporters.

In the first case, two persons, who transported hash oil to Hyderabad from Andhra Pradesh with the intention of delivering it to a peddler operating in Bengaluru, were nabbed while proceeding to board a bus at Erragadda in the city on Sunday, police said.

In another case, police apprehended five persons–three peddlers and two consumers in Jubilee Hills possessing 1.25 litres of hash oil.

The three peddlers used to procure and sell hash oil in Hyderabad for easy money to support their lavish lifestyle, police added. PTI VVK VVK ADB
