Chandigarh, Jul 23 (PTI) Haryana has completed distribution of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration forms to all registered voters across the state, with only one day left for electors to submit filled forms to booth level officers (BLOs), officials said on Thursday.
According to the office of the Haryana chief electoral officer, more 1.72 crore enumeration forms, accounting for 83.51 per cent of the electorate, have been digitised and uploaded by BLOs so far.
Officials said only voters whose signed enumeration forms are received by BLOs will have their names included in the Draft Electoral Roll-2026, scheduled to be published July 31.
Voters who have not yet submitted their forms can also do so online through the Election Commission’s voter portal.
The state has identified 34.02 lakh voters, or 16.47 per cent of the electorate, as permanently shifted, absent, deceased or having duplicate entries.
Their names will not be included in the draft electoral rolls.
Polling station-wise lists of such voters have been shared with booth level agents appointed by political parties and will also be made available on the state electoral office website.
The names included in the draft rolls will be verified using information collected during the SIR exercise.
If objections or discrepancies are found, the concerned electoral registration officer (ERO) or assistant electoral registration officer (AERO) will issue notices for hearings, asking voters to produce the requisite documents before the final electoral rolls are published on October 3.
Voters whose names are omitted from the draft rolls may apply for inclusion by submitting Form-6 along with the required documents between July 31 and August 30. Form-8 can be used for correction of entries or change of address.
Officials said voters aggrieved by the ERO’s decision may appeal before the district magistrate within 15 days and, if necessary, before the chief electoral officer within 30 days. PTI VSD ARB ARB
