Gurugram, Sep 17 (PTI) Every District Congress Committee (DCC) must make a clear assessment of its organisational work and ensure that the party organisation does not remain confined to paperwork, but is visibly active up to the mandal and booth levels, AICC in charge, Haryana, Sanjay Dutt said.
A monthly review meeting of all DCCs of Haryana was held at Tulip Club House, Sector 70, Badshahpur, Gurugram under the chairmanship of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee president Rao Narender Singh on Thursday, a senior congress leader.
The Haryana Congress president asked the district chiefs to set concrete and measurable targets for the next three months, which must be implemented on the ground within stipulated timelines.
According to an official statement, a detailed review of the organisational work being carried out across all districts of the state, including mandal mapping, block Congress conferences, SIR-related work, booth-level voter assistance centres, and the progress of DCCs in raising local public issues took place at the meeting.
Detailed discussions were also held on organisational priorities, action plans for the next three months, upcoming challenges and preparations for the future.
Addressing the meeting, Haryana Congress Affairs In-charge Sanjay Dutt said that the monthly review meeting of district Congress presidents is extremely important for continuously strengthening the organisation.
He said that in accordance with the organisational development guidelines issued by AICC general secretary (Organisation) K C Venugopal, performance-based organisational reports have been sought from every district.
“Every District Congress Committee must undertake a clear assessment of its organisational work and activities and ensure that the party organisation does not remain confined to paperwork, but is visibly active up to the Mandal and booth levels.
“Districts and blocks that fail to deliver the expected results against the prescribed organisational performance parameters may be considered during the second phase of the organisational development campaign,” he added.
State Congress president Rao Narender Singh said that every DCC must undertake a clear assessment of its current position, organisational shortcomings and priorities, and set concrete and measurable targets for the next three months. He said that these targets must be implemented on the ground within the stipulated timelines and reviewed regularly.
“The Congress organisation will be effective only when workers remain continuously active among the people at the district, block, mandal and booth levels, raise local issues strongly, and consistently work towards resolving the problems faced by the general public,” he said.
