Gurugram, May 6 (PTI) The body of a 30-year-old woman with multiple stab injuries was found 100 metres away from her house in the Kherki Daula area here, police said on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Rekha Devi, a native of Bhojpur village in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. She lived on rent in Bhangrola village with her husband, Gaurav, who works for a private company.
The police suspect the involvement of her husband, who has been absconding since the incident. Efforts are underway to trace him.
According to the police, passersby spotted the body around 6 am on Wednesday and alerted the police.
The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) and crime scene teams reached the spot and found multiple stab wounds on the woman’s body, they said.
“The family of the deceased has been informed and a post-mortem will be conducted upon their arrival. Further investigation is underway,” a senior police officer said. PTI COR MDO APL
