Gurugram, Apr 18 (PTI) Nothing is impossible if you are determined towards your goal, a boy from Gurugram proved this by scoring 95.4 per cent in his CBSE Class 10 boards while overcoming a life-altering medical crisis.
According to Susheel Tiwari, father of the student, Sattvik Tiwari, three years ago, in the final quarter of Class 7, he was struck by the GBS AMAN variant, which left him fully paralysed within five hours.
Acute Motor Axonal Neuropathy (AMAN) is a variant of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) where the immune system attacks motor nerves, which causes rapid paralysis.
This made him spend four months on a ventilator, completely immobile, having to relearn everything from scratch, from moving his body to simple breathing, he said.
Today, he still walks with the help of foot braces and manages balance and coordination issues that require three hours of intensive physiotherapy several times a week, he said.
Despite this gruelling schedule, he not only achieved academic excellence but also cleared the B1 DELF French certification in just two years, he added.
Susheel Tiwari said that his son’s journey is a testament to resilience and the power of the human spirit. I believe his story would provide immense hope to other students facing their own battles. PTI COR SHS SHS
