Gurugram, Jul 18 (PTI) Gurugram police have arrested two individuals on robbery charges after they allegedly assaulted a salesman at a liquor store in Damdama.
According to the police, the salesman filed a complaint alleging that during the night of July 16-17, three individuals entered the store, assaulted him, struck him on the head with a liquor bottle, and fled after stealing cash and liquor bottles.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered at the Sadar Sohna Police Station.
Acting promptly, the police arrested two suspects on Saturday from Abheypur village. The accused were identified as Pankaj (22) and Sagar alias Kale (23).
“During interrogation, it was revealed that Sagar works as a welder, while Pankaj is employed by a contractor. Verification of their criminal records revealed that Pankaj was previously involved in a case of assault registered in Gurugram. Rs 5200 in cash has been recovered from the accused.
