Gujarat DGP reviews various facilities at Police Bhavan

Gandhinagar, Jul 15 (PTI) Gujarat Director General of Police G S Malik on Wednesday reviewed the facilities at the canteen, consumer store, gymnasium and Vatsalya Room at Police Bhavan, the headquarters of the state police, in Gandhinagar.

“State Police Chief G S Malik paid a surprise visit to various centres and offices at Police Bhavan and conducted a detailed inspection,” according to an official release.

He provided necessary guidance after reviewing the arrangements at the canteen, frequented by several people and police staff every day, the consumer store, the gym building and the Vatsalya Room.

“Giving utmost priority to the health of the staff and citizens, the DGP personally inspected the canteen arrangements, kitchen cleanliness, clean drinking water facility and packing dates of food items sold, etc. and gave strict suggestions to maintain quality,” the release said.

Malik visited the consumer store, which operates at concessional rates for police personnel, and also suggested necessary administrative improvements.

“During his visit to the gym building, used by police staff, he saw various exercise equipment and available facilities, and also inspected the cleanliness of the roof in detail,” the release said.

The DGP also visited the Vatsalya Room, a dedicated childcare and family welfare facility for police personnel and visitors.
